Ruthie’s Heart
Some beautifully produced video of our performance in Vienne (perhaps 2007?) have have recently appeared on YouTube. A truly grooving band with Keyon Harrold, Chris Albert, Freddie Hendrix and David Weiss in the trumpet section, Joe Fiedler, Dion Tucker, Stafford Hunter and myself on trombones, and Bill Saxton, Sundar Vishwanathan, Todd Bayshore, Billy Harper, and Patience Higgins on saxophones. The hall of fame rhythm section was Cecil McBee on bass, Victor Lewis on drums, ad George Cables. What a Blast!!!! Here are videos for Ruthie’s Heart, Round Midnight, Mournin’ Variations, and With Love. Miraculously–I even get a solo on Ruthie’s Heart.
